Don't expect anything for 6 more months. Scoshe is probably your best bet in getting a radio install dash kit for the CX-9. michaelnwood 12-10-2007, 08:50 AM Hello, I am new to the site, but wanted to share some information about installing a new radio in a 2007 CX-9. I was not able to find a Manufactured Kit to make the install easy. So I made my own kit, which I was told was not possible. It took some time, but all I use was someBlack PVC plastic, which I bought online from a company in ohio for $35. The original mounting cage that came with my Kenwood DNX7100 and some Simpson strong ties metal brackets from home depot as well as some rivots. Total cost for kit was $45. I have a picture if any wants to see what it looks like. I think it looks pretty good. Especially knowing that I bought the Kenwood, the bluetooth, and 2 10" headrest monitors for $1300 or so. About a third the cost of the factory nav and dvd system. If you need some pointers on making the kit, I can give you a laundry list of how to remove the old unit and how to make a new kit for a double din type radio. Happy days! M smoovemode 06-27-2008, 12:44 PM That's a good looking kit. How much would you charge to make one for me? hollow_man12 06-30-2008, 10:48 AM Hey Michael, Do you have any pics of the install process, or of the kit before you put it in? I just wanted to see some behind the scenes stuff. I am looking to do this this coming up weekend so hopefully you'll see this post and respond. It's really hard finding good information on this topic! Thanks :) djjr50 07-25-2008, 07:27 PM How I would love to have a kit to install one of the Pioneer AVIC-F700BT in Delilah (that's what I call my Stormy Mica Blue 07 CX-9)!! |
