Default 1st Gen Trans Leak

Okay I have a 91 Protege lx With the 1.8 DOHC with a Manual trans. About a week ago I noticed that the transmission was leaking. I jacked it up and couldn't pin point the leak. I replaced both out put seals to no avail. The fluid is coming from the top of the crosmember under the trans. Ill get pictures tomorrow.

Most common leaks are shift shaft seal and speedo driven gear o-ring.

Make sure the speedo sleeve is bottomed out. I have seen a ton that got slightly cocked and did not seal. Other than the items i mentioned there are no other seals which leavesa case seam leak which i have never seen happen

Actually there are a couple switchs and shift rod bolts in the case. Could check those as they have sealing washers on them.
