I have been on other forums for some time. There is a how to forum that people that have preformed a task on their car can post how to do and others can learn from this. It is just an idea.

hello,

I run a few forums, and they do have a DIY (do it yourself) section. If this is something that the members are interested in, i can create a section for them, but I need to have at least one ready to put into that section, because it looks bad it ifs sitting there empty.

I'm guessing no one likes this idea. :(Or they don't understand that you will not have to ask someone evertime you have a problem. You could just look it up. Well thought I would give it a try.

that sounds like it would be a great idea to me...i have a stack of boxes with parts waiting to be installed and i would like to do a majority of them myself. the only thing is i dont know where to start.

OK Patrick.. looks like the DIY forum is a good idea to everyone! (haha, 100% yes from poll)

I think we should do it... help alot.. you know just could be one of those things you could learn off here instead of taking your car in somewhere and paying for it to be done! But always gotta be careful! People dont always know what they are talking about! :)

What kind of 'how to' are you looking for? I put one for removing the radio on a Mazda 5 that might be a start. Threadstarter was andrewlwilson. Is this what you are talking about. Give some other ideas of what you need and we can try to put some together. I think it is a really good idea.:D

I like the idea except that dividing into different catagories such as engine/transmission, suspension/brake, interior, electronic stuff, might make it a little more user friendly when trying to find something instead of having to search thru a huge list.

Still not seeing much interest in the How To Forum. What do we need to get this started? Kind of dead ended with no replies a while back. I still think would be a good idea but we need to be able to post a picture along with the how to info. Does not work to explain how to replace a part when all of the pictures are at the bottom of the page. A step by step with picts to show what is being done would help the best. What do you think

If an administrator is looking in on this it would be nice to start the page and see what happens and if it is a flop you can remove it.
Thanks.

i think it is a great idea, just need some pics and descriptions. that could take a while to set up because then you have to go by model/year/style. but in the long run, it would definitely be worth all of the time and effort.;)
