is NOS legal? that would be so cool racing people from the light when they don't know you have it. ahhahah

technically, i dont think that nitrous oxide is legal for street use, but there isnt really a way to tell, so it isnt like youre going to get pulled over for it...one of my old car has "NOS" logos on the side and no one ever said anything to me about it.

i dont believe it is illegal unless u are in california and you look suspicious. then they will pull u over and check the vehicle to make shure you are not running anything like that. I know lots of people by where i live run it alot.

NOS is a cheaters way outta a race, i would rather have a turbo, or even better a twin turbo than NOS, plus it is expensive!!!

plus you could kill your engine

I run the juice on the street and been pulled over and never got any crap about it I have nitrous onboth my cars now my work and play car and any power adder is cheating you should be able to win on motor only I have it for giggles and just in case

it depends on a lot of things like who are you getting it from, what car r u getting it for, what brand and stage of turbo you want.

Nah, there just much of a risk of it backfiring, and once you run out of NOS you have to fill it up again and it aint cheap, turbo last 4ever.

I have it on my T/A and it is not illegal in Illinois, if it is hooked up and the system is armed I believe they can get you. It is great way to go, if you run all the safety devices you will be fine, WOT switch, FPSS, window switch and such you will be fine. Get your car tuned because if you are running lean you will be buying a new motor. I run a 150 wet shot and I have had no problems with it because it is done right. Turbo's are fun and always "on" but my nitrous will be on when it counts;)

back when i posted that, there was only one shop that did refills and thats how much they cost, but now i found a diff shop that also does refills and im sure they are alot cheaper than ~100, oh btw i live in one the most borin place on earth

crackin turbo manifolds to worry about and more problem free, what happens if ur wastegate gets blocked or u block thinkin te more booost the better=boost spike=bye bye motor,
p.s. often what the shot is on nos is slighty more than the power to the wheels it generates just keep that in mind. wouldnt it be nice in a race thats neck and neck and the other cars slightly pullin to have the ability to be able to hit nos, and pull ahead instead of loosing by a half car, or for srt4 with 25psi of boost gettin slightly walked by a 13-14 sec ls1 camaro vette 3rd gen and be able to have 100 hp to the wheels sittin there to tap into plus the intercooler spray and then pull on that car. think about it nos = good times =reliable = extra power only when u want to tap into it not all that extra stress on the motor all the time
p.s. the new porche 911,carrera and saabs and a lot of new cars with a turbo have a over boost button that ups the boost by 3 psi for 20 seconds at the push of a button (road and track sept 06 issue super cars tested eg. z06,911 turbo,viper, f430f1,gt40, lamborgini)
is that over boost button cheating if u think so ur opinion differs from not only mine but top engineers opinions soo. also j-spec 300zx twin turbos came with nitrous that is injected below 3000 under wot to help spool the turbo quicker, so ne time u see a 300 zx 2b2y take somethin make sure u tell him nissan engineers are cheaters like u say.

up here in canada, NOS is legal, it just cant be hooked up when on the street...im pretty sure anyways.
and a turbo is kinda like NOS, when ur just cruising around town, u have the boost down low...then at a stoplight, some one wants to race! so.....you crank up the boost adn your ready to go!!!

and about how long does a bottle of NOS last for?? cuz in NFS video games, its like 3 secs. but i know thats fake.
