just wondering what the matchup/comparisons are there were to be a race against these vehicles. i think the jetta is a 4cyl. fwd, and the 6 is def. a 220hp fwd 6cyl. I'm pretty sure my 6 will smoke that car, but my manager who owns the jetta thinks otherwise. that yuppy bastard is either too cocky or he is trying to scare me off haha.

Lol. The 6. The only way the jetta would stand a chance if it was loaded with nitrous, or turbocharged. Or a vr6. Other wise... just keep laughing at him.

the 2.0 or 2.3 Mazda 6 would kick that car's ass. Your manager is a fool! But, I am sure he is a good manager though!

the mazda 6 is not impressive when it comes to speed. But, I have a 2.3 and it takes off slow at first, but when it gets to 3rd gear it takes off pretty well. I draged raced a Mitusbishi Eclispe once. The Eclispe smoked me at the start, but i actually caught up to him at about 40 mph. Then he pulled away a little more when I got up to 90mph. By the way, I only dragged raced my 6 that one time. It is still a smooth and fun to drive car.

yeah, I thought my manager had nothing on me. He is such a jackass, i should half throttle my car and let him win, then ask for another chance and smile at him haha.:D

well i'm impressed with the speed of my 3.0L V6 mazda6. when used to driving a ford explorer and a dodge ram 250, these cars are like sprint racing cars. woot woot!

haha, i have the funniest new for all of you who read this..... my manager, aka the owner of that jetta, crushed a deer coming home from work the other night. since he is a dick, i asked him if he wanted to race knowing that his car was screwed up.... boy did he give me a look! ;) he hit the deer going prob. around 45 mph, didnt have time to hit the brakes cause he was just changing gears from what he told me.

My little brother is the proud owner of a Jetta 1.8turbo with 180hp and 6speed manual shift... after drive my mazda for only a couple of days I'll say that the 6 totally smokes the jetta , even though mine comes with the automatic 6speed... So the 3.0ltr actually beats any jetta and if your managers is the 2.0 it has even less power so there's nothing to worry 'bout!

Lol (your manager=sucker) And i dont know bout you guys, but my 6 is fast as crap, ive beatin plenty of cars. If u think ur 6 is slow, get some upgrades to make it fast.

I want to get a fully programmable computer for my 6 but noone currently makes one for these rides. Also, I dont want to fully void my warranty because once you tamper with the computer, say goodbye to your warranty.... no matter how much you paid.:(

if you want to avoid losing your warranty get something like the power programmer from hypertech. if you start to have problems you can dump the original program back onto your computer before you bring the car to the dealer

and i too think the 6 is pretty slow.... but it did outrun my friends stock 1.8 sentra, so i guess if you race really slow cars then its not too bad

oh yeah, hypertech makes a very nice product. I was actually thinking about buying one but i'm gonna look around the internet for a little bit to see if there is anything else that competes with them. I mean for the price of the hypertech, it does a hell of alot of bang for the buck.

well here's the bad news.... hypertech does not make a programmer for the mazda 6 at all. as from what i got out of the guy i talked to , they are not even considering putting out a product for the mazda 6 at any time soon, if they do at all. sigh*[:@]
