This is probably an odd request, but here's the story. Back in early '03 I wanted a project/autocross car, so I purchased a 1982 Porsche 911SC. Its a great car, I've learned to work on it, and I love it to death. In the past year, however, a combination of a new marraige, new job, and new home have sapped both my project time and project budget a bit. I've decided to lighten the load by selling the 911, but I still want a toy for tinkering and autocross... so I hope to find an early/mid-90s Miata in need of some love.

So, I am posting for a few reasons. First of all, does anyone have advice or suggestions for finding a good deal? Anyone made a similar transition before? Do any of you have a spare MX-5 laying about, and a burning desire to drive a bulletproof flat-6 piece of German engineering?

For the curious, info on my baby can be found here (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=245645).

will one thing i would do is look in your local used car magazines and check out as many different used car dealers as possible, and make sure you look up the year of the car on the internet to find a more accurate price, and don't be afraid to talk them down

I am new to this forum. Just bought a 05 MX-5 last Friday. Maybe the same question has been asked before: my fuel gauge hanlde would not drop back to empty "E" even after I shut off the engine. Is this normal for a Mazda car since my other cars will drop to "E"? please help.

Thanks,

Detroit, WB

The fuel level needle will not drop to 'E' when key turned off. Should read the same after key is turned off as when it was on. Is not a problem.
