Here are some pics of my new convertible top. It is made out of Porsche Canvas (the material they use on porsches) instead of the stock Vinyl that they use.

Looks nice, where did you have it done and what was the cost? Did they replace the headliner and have you checked for any leaks?
I may need to have mine done in the near future, I have a 1988 vert also.

It is a shop near my Sign Supply Place. I can get you all the information if you want. The shop is in South Jersey. Its custom made out of Porsche Canvas. the top costed me $1200 when it was completed with labor, and another $200 for the part that was rotted that there was only 5 in the country. they cleaned and reused my headliner, and there is no leaks. in fact they also added a waterproof coat so the rain doesn't soak into the top. They made pockets for rain to collect and added rubber drain hoses which came on the factory. i love it and all the creases and wrinkles are out of the top. i talked to them when it was done, and they said that it was not an easy top to do. They rather do a 40 ford convertible top than the RX-7 FC.

I actually bought this car as my everyday driver. i need something that was a little better than the monte on gas. lucky i did since the monte went up in flames. not bad for 90,000 original miles and one owner car, well two now. I bought mine 2 months ago and a friend of mine bought one just like mine, but red. I think he got ripped of on his. He paid $4000 for his, and it has 116,000 miles when i only paid $2900. Before i bought this car, i was looking at a 1991 Dodge Stealth R/T, but then i found this. it was cheaper, it was convertible, and it was a 2 seater. i couldn't reesist. i was actually lookin at buying an S2000, but it was a lil outta my price range at the moment.
