I am in desperate need of a stock Mazda RX-8 shift knob!!! Mine was stolen when my car was broken into a few months ago and I don't have $180 to buy a brand new one... Please let me know if you have one

If you would like a custom knob, a good site ishttp://www.koolknobs.com/. The owner makes it all himself.While he taught high school I went through his machining program and made a really nice machined aluminum one for myself as a project. Either way good luck on getting a replacement.

Interesting. I don"t particularly like the all-metal billet knobs many are touting either, though I do like a heavier knob. Too cold in the winter, too hot in the summer.
Any idea what this guy charges... I mean a rough range of his prices?

Well I'm not 100% sure, but when I asked him about it when I was thinking about getting my dad one for his birthday (but convieniently I made the previously mentioned) he said something from $25 to $40 for what I was looking at doing. It really depends on the complexity of the knob.If you are curious shoot him an email. It should be posted on his site.
