Every once in awile I will lay it to the floor and the rpm's slowly go up but there is no pull to it. Then its a hard shift. What causes this?

Sounds like the transmission is not downshifting out of overdrive as it should when trying to accelerate hard. Is that the feeling that you get and then all of the sudden will go ahead and downshift and then go?

When the engine light came on, I took it to the shop. The mechanic found code P0421, a bad catalyic converter.
Damm that thing cost me $410 just for the part.:(

Man i have that same problem and what changes that is to put 93 octain from now on, i know its more expensive but its worth it. You will also get alot better gas mileage out of it too. My car is still a little slugesh but you will see a difference. Let me know if you make a difference.
