94 protege spedo and tach issue

94 protege spedo and tach issue
I have a 94 protege LX, in the last 3 months the thing has been doing something weird. The spedometer intermitently starts to bounce while driving, and the tach registers 1000 to 500 over what the engine is actually doing. Any thoughts?
