[:@] Tracker 08-15-2006, 02:40 AM come to my area and then you can complain, but anyway lower is nice, but slammed is not so great DriftKingBP 08-16-2006, 08:07 AM ORIGINAL: the_gray_mazda6 I'd like lower my car but i am so damn close to bottoming out here in PA just with my exhaust alone that I can't risk it.... damn Pennsylvania! [:@] what city do you live in, I have a russian friend named serge down there RJB_M6 08-18-2006, 05:44 PM I am lowered and one pot hole or going into mcdonalds will make you bottom out where I live. Ergh. Has anyone noticed with the 6s sedan that the back end is aweful low before you drop it? Lupae3s 08-18-2006, 07:24 PM my ride is slammed...no problems bottoming out in Pennsylvania. westimports 08-18-2006, 07:33 PM ORIGINAL: Lupae3s my ride is slammed...no problems bottoming out in Pennsylvania. Yeah, me too. Just outside of the 'burgh. RJB_M6 08-19-2006, 04:15 PM Im just south of Buffalo and I have problems :( Tracker 08-20-2006, 01:00 AM ORIGINAL: Lupae3s my ride is slammed...no problems bottoming out in Pennsylvania. sorry your not slammed, just nicely lowered Lupae3s 08-20-2006, 02:07 AM had the coils down the whole way... Tracker 08-20-2006, 02:42 AM still not slammed, but then again you dont want to be 87 turbo II 08-20-2006, 04:09 AM I scrape everyday on the speedbump about 30 feet away from my house. DriftKingBP 08-21-2006, 05:14 AM I am an idiot and I can not read Tracker 08-23-2006, 07:48 PM how tall is the speed bump, and fast do you go over it? Socal Black6 09-29-2006, 06:39 PM I lowered my 6 and it looks tight, especially with my rims. mazda guy 11-12-2006, 01:37 PM yeah it looks nice, but your screwed if you hit a speed bump! Good luck all! zoom_craigy_zoom 12-05-2006, 10:57 PM Please dont fight boys..... I associate "slammed" with airbags. Dropped to the max, aka sitting on the grass, or a truck scraping its rocker panels on the pavement. Now, that's SLAMMED. Pebble pushin' dentinger 12-09-2006, 01:31 PM i had a Civic once that was literally 2 inches off the ground (ish) and speedbump were a bitch....i had to drive to the side of em, so only the one side of the car actaully went over them....and pulling into my driveway was a bitch too.....and i hated that scraping sound it made....you just knew something was being destroyed under your car sin6racer 12-09-2006, 05:11 PM my 6 sport. is stock height and ive bottomed out so many times. (not cuz of the roads, cuz the speedbulges in shoppin centers is insane) [:@] dentinger 01-02-2007, 05:04 AM alright, just to clear this up people... this car is slammed.. just look at how high the front bumper of exhaust is from the ground...like, 2 inches.... local://upfiles/6421/93DC6FCFF66F4DC5ADFADE2B13CB4D43.jpg poisonivory 10-16-2007, 01:26 PM Yea slammed is typically associated with air bags or drastic drop in which rides have absolutely no wheel gap and are even sometimes "tucked". Anything where you can still see a wheel gap, even its only 1/2" is a mild drop. I have a 1.6" drop on my current car (focus), and anything above 2-2.3" would slam it and cause it to rub due to the offset and fender design. I live in Philly, PA and I woul not want anything more than a mild drop on my soon to come Mazda 3. beulahland85 01-24-2008, 10:05 AM this is totally unrelated to what you are discussing but i really need some feedback...i am looking at buying a mazda 2000 Protege with 125000 miles on it, what is the average engine life and transmission life on this vehicle provided the oil and other fluids were changed regularly? i don't want to buy a lemon, so any feedback would be good. |
