Hi everyone. I just purchased an RX8 last week. It is a 2004, manual transmission with 33K on the engine. The car looks and drives perfect. It is fully loaded and comes with practically everything but the NAV system. I just noticed a problem today with the car. The engine makes a sound like a squeaky belt but when you push in the clutch, the sound goes away. I called a Mazda dealership and he told me this is "normal." There is no way this is normal! It clearly sounds like a loose belt but I can't figure it out. Why would the sound go away only when I have my foot on the clutch. Anyone having this problem???

Iam having the same thing going on. i turn the car on with the clutch in and sounds fine. I pull the clutch out and you have squeaky. I am going to go to the dship next week. i'll let you know if they tell me the samething
