Need help on pulling out out the spare tire. On the manual, you just need to unscrew it and the spare tire will automatically loosen and slowly goes down. However, when I unscrew the knob to lower it, the tire does not go down. I looked at the bottom, the cable is loosed, i can shake the spare tire, tried to pull the tire down, but somehow it is still stuck in the middle. Is there a knob, a screw or something that I missed to remove ? Also, when already loose, turning it counterclockwise, the tire tightens - its probably loose thread. Any suggestion on how to pull out the tire ? Your help is gladly appreciated.

There should not be anything else holding the tire up if the cable is loose. Try just prying on it a bit with a 2X4 or something but be carefull not to bend something else in the process.
