I just turned 129k on my 1994 MX6 with the 2.5 V6. Occassionally im starting to get the sensation of fuel cut off. This seems a bit early for a fuel pump but I was curious if anyone else has had a similar failure and just how much fun is it to change it out? It appears to be an "in tank" model.

Any help/suggestionsare greatly appreciated, thanks.

hey there dude

some engines shut off at high speeds?revs then start up again when you stop it.

The most likely cause is the distributor. It is a fault in the ignitor which fails when it gets hot. It should restart when it cools down. When this occurs it is usually a sign to fix the distributor. If left untreated, the problem will keep on happening and the distributor will finally die. Cost of repair is around $500-$600

well thats my guess...im no mechanic but it an idea

good luck mate
