I started my 2000 Miata (85,000 miles) & it ran terrible (felt like it was running on 3 cylinders). I turned the car off....then started it again, and it ran fine. I then noticed the "check engine" light was on. Using my code reader, the computer stored a "multiple cylinder misfire" code. Anybody have any ideas what caused this???

IGNITION COILS ARE FOULED-ALSO CHECK YOUR SPARK PLUGS FOR OVER ARKING

I had the same problem last week, I changed the spark plugs with Bosch Platinum 2's with the 2 resistors. Runs like new now, no more check engine light, and ti dont sound like its dieing when i stop anymore.
