Hey Guys, I am new to the Miata forum and I had a couple of questions about batteries.
My 96 Miata's battery needs replacement, and I had heard that you could use an Optima Battery instead of the standard ones. Has anyone done this, and if so, what size did you get for your Miata? Also, where is the best place to get one from? I know that Optima's are solid state and don't spill, but has anyone had a positive/negative experience using one?

THANKS in advance!

I had an optima in my previous vehicle, I now own a Mazda 6. You're probably not going to feel a noticeable difference with an optima unless you're running a lot of aftermarket electronics. In my old car i had complete aftermarket sound system and DVD player, so it was nice to have a bit more power, but for the price you may not even notice a difference

I put an optima battery for a civic in my 99 miata, it was a slim battery, it fitted perfect.
