I recently bought a Satellite radio and it appears on two occasions the adapter used to power it has blown a fuse.

The 12V outlet and the cigar lighter that I used for the adapter both stopped working.

In the case of the cigar lighter, I was able to find and replace the blown fuse for it. What I need help with it which fuse controls the front 12v adapter under the radio. Neither tha panel and manuals that I have list a location fo the 12V adapters. Also, for what its worth, the 12v adapter in the rear of the car works fine.

The front and rear power point outlets are fused separately. Both fuses are located in the fuse box under the hood to the outside of the battery. See pic below for location of both fuses for front and rear power points. 15 Amp is used for both.

The fuse was in fact blown and I replaced it with a new 15A fuse and then it blew again. It appears there must be a problem with the adapter I am using. Between the 12V fuse which I didn't know where it was until your help, and the the cigar lighter fuse, I had blown three fuses a few months ago trying to use the radio, but then no problem with the cigar lighter 20A fuse after the last replacement a few months ago. That is until I pulled the adapter out on Saturday to use it in another vehicle. Yesterday when I tried to plug it back into the cigar lighter in the Tribute, the fuse blew again, and then proceeded to blow three more immediately. This morning after looking at your diagram, I replaced the blown front power fuse, plugged the radio in and it appears that fuse blew immedately too. Why the radio is causing the fuse to blow is now my next troubleshooting task.
