View Full Version : I got a 3!!! silver3 05-01-2004, 12:30 PM Hey everyone my name is josh and i am new to the forum. I just got a silver 3 and Ive already got 18" Chrome neepers on it I loveisi am looking for other parts does anyone know what is out for it tkhawaii 05-08-2004, 07:59 PM Congrats silver3, how do the 18s ride? anyway, if you're looking for a CAI - cold air intake... AEI is supposed to have one ready this month. There is probably a long list so, get on it asap. Also, magnaflow has a muffler set up for it and getting it ready for sale as well. here is the web site for that-->http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/import.htm
You can hear the sound - not too ricey so that's good. I haven't found anyone that is selling underdrive pulleys and other things yet. Just folks adapting cosmetic items to their ride. Not too much in the way of direct engine mods. But with the ford focus, Ztecs and all that, there is bound to be some development coming to us soon. Just start saving money now... LOL
silver3 05-09-2004, 12:49 AM Thanks for the info man the 18s ride great i have 215/40s on them and they are almost exactly the same as stock and didnt hurt the ride at all I cant wait till stuff comes out for it let me know if you see any engine mods in the near future

ATL- 05-25-2004, 08:34 AM Congrats. mazdababe93 06-12-2004, 03:20 AM i currently own a 93 mx-3 and am thinking about getting a 3. Just put painted the brakes; gives it a little extra. I definately want some aftermarket parts to compliment the already quick car. Mago 01-15-2005, 02:25 PM I've got my 3 for almost a year now.. i've hit 200 km/h mark a lot of times.. lol my top speed is 217 km/h @ about 6300 RPM (5th gear definitely). never got chance to hit 220 km/h damn it!! lol Have u guys tried the top speed? my latest test result was 8.5 seconds (0 - 100 km/h), raughly about 23 seconds to 160 and about 42 seconds to 200 (holding on too long in 4th gear!! u better change to 5th when it almost hit 180 cuz it will slow u down if u keep pushing it at 4th gear) taking about 2km long to reach this.. damn.. but this was with 4 ppl in my car.. lol after 200, u don't wanna know how long it takes... lol i praise the suspension though.. cuz it is still quite stable even though the road is not smooth at over 200 km/h and u still can change lane quite comfortably at that speed (note: don't try when u r drunk lol cuz 1 little mistake and u will be in heaven *hopefully* lol). note: I'm in australia, so there is no top speed limiter and i am using premium unleaded petrol (RON 95) with fully synthetic oil and custom made free flow exhaust. and mine is 2.0L engine. ^_^ BoostThat3 02-21-2005, 02:57 AM Hello everyone, I am going into the dealership tomorrow to get my Mazda 3i sedan in TG. I can't wait till theres things i can do to it, also, K&N has a CAI for the 3. cdmon 05-02-2005, 07:41 PM Hi all. I'm new here too and for my early mother day gift i got a 2004 mazda 3s and i love it. I got it on april 29th. Finally something w/ better gas mileage than what i've been driving and no more climbing in. We also have a 91' suburban w/ a 4in lift kit on it. So imagine a 5'2 person climbing in it and the door handle is at eye level. designeraccd 06-11-2005, 10:33 PM I purchased a new 3 5door today, traded my 6 month old furd 500 with AWD, leather etc for this little car. After driving her with "enthusiasm" down 5 of my favorite twisty roads tonight I have gotten quite impressed. As I have driven my '02 Miata (3rd Miata ) down those same roads, not to mention quite a few of my motorcycles, this lil shoebox front driver is really rather exceptional in the FunToDrive catagory. I liked it enough to trade the big furd (with $$ back..) earlier today, but it wasn't until I went down those curvy roads tonight using the manual up-down slot of the automatic shifter with good effect that I really started enjoying this car. Given how much my Miatas have provided lots of back road entertainment I really never expected a econobox to be capable of approaching those levels of driving fun...strong package!
