<P>Hey guys I'm new to this forum but I would appreciate any feedback.Â* My 1996 MPV 4wd with 3.0l v6 suddenly started hesitating the other day.Â* I have never had this type of problem with it.Â* But first I had difficulty getting it started.Â* It just kept cranking until I gave it some gas.Â* Then the check engine light came on and it started hesitating occasionally on the highway.Â* I am planning to bring it to a garage to do a diagnostics check but if anyone has had a similar experience I would like to know what you found.Â* Thanks for any info any of you can provide.</P>

SOUND AS IF YOU MAY HAVE IGNITION SYSTEM PROBLEM. POSSIBLY BAD SPARK PLUG, LOOSE PLUG WIRE, BAD PLUG WIRE, DISTRIBUTOR CAP OR
ROTOR ARCING INTERNAL (CARBON TRACKING). HOW MANY MILES SINCE LAST TUNE UP? REGULAR SPARK PLUG LAST ABOUT 30K.
HOW ABOUT FUEL FILTER, THERE SHOULD CHANGE EVERY 30K AS WELL. BAD FUEL IS ANOTHER POSSIBLY.
MAY HAVE A TIMING BELT THAT JUMPED, THERE SHOULD BE CHANGE EVERY 60K.
I REALIZE THIS POST IS LATE AND HOPEFULLY HAVE YOUR MPV FIT. OTHER MEMBERS MAY BE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS SO I HOPE THIS
HELPS.

try run with 91 octane for few times and see if you have any changes.

i'm not exact sure what might be the problems for your car but do some maintenance and use better fuel will make definitely make some improvement.

my 95 mpv still running good till this day.
