I think 20's are overkill & will hurt performance (too heavy). I've got 18x8 RX-8 wheels on my wife's 04 and I think they are sized perfectly

some one told me that i need to get staggered rims and 19 would be a perfect fit without any mods.one store said i could go with 20s but i would have to install rubber supports inthe springs.i am also thinking about lowering it about 2inch and would like to know what is the best and correct way to do this.thanks .

if your going to lower your 6, id suggest going with a MAX 18" rim....then a, oh, 40 series or so tire....
if you go any larger, you'll most likely have rubbing issues....
you could do 19's, but then you'll be riding on 35 series tires, and then the ride would be bumpier, and you'll be toast after a nice sized pot hole....

there are a couple ways to lower your car....
1) the cheap way... Lowering Springs.... im getting some for my mazda3, and i'll be spending about $400 on 'em....
and they will lower my car about 1.5 inches...
2) the expensive way... Coilovers.... those cost upwards of $1000...
probably around $1500... BUT, with those you can adjust the ride height from about 0.5 inches, to around 2-2.5 inches....
so, if you live in a colder climate, ie, Canada (haha), you can just raise ur car up in the winter months to prevent ur car from becoming a snow plow....
