My son owns a '92 MX3 w/ 4 cyl engine and was recently notified by a mechanic that he needs a new distributor to fix a hesitation problem that pops up when engine is at operating temperature. I would like to know if any of you know if there are other years/models that a replacement can be salvaged from. Thanks, </P>

I think that my distributer is bad too what type of hesetation was your car doin like when it would idle the rpms would drop and sometimes die. If yours went out how did it act. for example all it would do is turn over but not start.

Might be a long distance but I recently found a new website. Take a look at http://www.japanautoteile.de or http://www.hako.net , I found a MX-3 distributor which might be suitable, it´s for the 1.6l engine.

Good luck.
