This is my first post ive searched and had no luck. my wife has a 03 mazda 6s with 45,000 miles on it. The clutch just took a crap and its not under warranty anymore. i found a clutch on ebay for $180 shipped and i bought it. my problem is i would like to replace it myself or have my mechanic do it. he seems to think that you have to drop the engine in order to replace the clutch. ive searched and searched and i cannot find any info on the job. has anyone ever replaced it themselves or have any knowledge on the process. not being under warranty i cant argue with the dealership like some have and get a fair price. please help we only own 2 vehicles and this is becoming a very big headache.

 

Out of all these people on here nobody has any idea about how to replace a clutch? Help a brother out
