Well, the I have OEM headlight HIDs but they were too yellow for me soI swapped them out for 6000k HID bulbs. I also upgraded the halogen fog lights to 6000k HID to match. They are the 9006 bulb type. I bought a retrofit kit and they look great and much brighter too. I'm also adding amber LED turn signal bulbes both front & rear. I have the bulbs already but when I installed them they blinked fast becauseit thought that the bulb was out due to the low power consumption of the LEDs. I ordered some load equalizers (resistors) to fix the issue and will install them as soon as I get them later this week. Pics to follow...

I'm deffinately interested in the procedure for the HID's in the foglamps... 1) where'd you gettem... 2) how much... 3) how easy was the converstion...

The conversion cost 170.00 for the fog lights and 97.00 for the headlights. It's was very easy to do, about a half an hour per side for both the headlights & fogs. I got the HIDs from www.visionbulbs.com (http://www.visionbulbs.com) enter the discount code: E46FANDSCT to get 15% off the list price. If you like the color of the OEM HID headlights than you can just get the HID fogs in 4300kto match.

If you look carefully at the following pics you can notice that I swapped out the orange parking lights on the headlight assembly to white LEDs also. So that everything would match perfectly.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, the LEDs were direct replacements #194 bulbs. I'll keep you guys updated on the amber LED turn signal bulbs.

Most of the replacement LED manufacturers offer a replacement blinker relay that works with led's. That way, if you're replacing all four turn lights with led's, you can just swap out the blinker and not have to add four load resistors.

Interesting. Care to provide a link?

Have you any of these products on your car? I'm always interested/sceptical about things like this... working for a dealer and occasionaly having cars in our shop with burned out connecters... etc... Still diggin on the upgrade for titaniums fog lights... keep the pics coming when you do the other lights too...

Thanks for the links l_miwa.

I have never used the relays before. I ordered one though. I'll give it a shot when it comes in. Anyone know where the turn signal relay is located specifically? I got the load equalizer today but will put off installing them until I experiment with the relay. Hopefully, it will work fine and I can avoid using the resistors all together. I'll keep you posted.

I took a look under the hood and could not find where the turn signal relay is. I checked the fuse and relay boxes but it did not specify a turn signal relay. I'm not really willing to pull relays out just to see. So If no one knows it's location, I might wind up doing it with resistors.

It's the TNS relay which is located between the reverse and starter relays...which are the same relays actualy... part #B115-67-730.

Ok, so where exactly are those relays located?

There are two fuse/relay boxes under the hood on the drivers side near the firewall... inside the smaller of the two are the relays...they're id'd on the underside of the box's cover.

I saw the relays you were referring to but the relay I bought from the LED company is of a different size. Oh well. I'm just going to stick with what I know will work (resistors). Thanks anyway.

I just completed the LED turn signal upgrade for both the front and rear with the load resistors. They look great and there is no fast blinking when activated, they work perfectly. The best part is that there is no more egg-yolk look in the taillights and when the turn signals go on and off, it's a very sharp flash, just like other OEM LED turn signals.:)

titanium11 - Which turn signal LED bulbs did you get and where did you end up getting them from? How does the brightness compare with the OEM bulbs?

So far, I've done the backup lights, the front and rear marker lights, rear license plate bulbs, and the door courtesy bulbs.

I pulled the TNS relay completely out and my emergency blinkers and turn signals continued to work as before! It sounds like the clicking sound from the relay is coming from right behind the indicator lights in the dash. No sounds from any of the relays under the hood. Am I missing something?
