Can I go to the wrecking yard and pull a case out and uses that?

Would I use the servo from my old case or the servo from the case from the yard?

Any other complications like binding, clearance issues, etc?
Thanks in advance.

Hi all, just got me a new CX30 (Homura Manual 2.5L 2026) and I'm very pleased with it - it's my first Mazda.:) Still getting to grips with all the tech but it seems easy enough, very smooth to drive and I'm very impressed (and I'm not easily pleased). The question I have is about roof racks/boxes. The dealership printed me off some options but each one says "not compatible with 2026 CX30" CX30 transport options, I haven't taken this up with the dealer yet so just asking here. There appears to be lots of items being sold online for models "2019 to present" so I'm confused. Are there any restrictions on the 2026 CX30? If so, why? It DOES have flush rails so presumably they can be fitted OK. Would appreciate any help/thoughts etc. Thanks

The vehicle has started performing DPF regenerations extremely frequently, roughly every 35-40 km (22-25 miles), even after highway driving.

Data collected with Car Scanner:

DPF regeneration every 35-40 km
Soot level before regeneration: 95-100%
Soot level after regeneration: around 44-45%
MAF readings: about 4-5 g/s at idle and around 100 g/s at 2500 rpm
No noticeable drivability issues
Mazda dealership checked the car and only stated that the issue is "probably" a NOx sensor, without providing any detailed diagnostic data.

Hello all,

I was just looking for a bit of advice regarding a Particulate Matter sensor replacement on my 2020 Cx-5 2.2 Skyactiv-D. I'm UK based, I called 3 garages all listed as Mazda specialists about having this item replaced. Two told me it would need to go in for some sort of programming at Mazda and one said he can just do it there and then. I wanted to understand the process and if it does in fact need to go to Mazda for this specific job, I tried to do some research to further understand. From the information I found online It could possibly need a DCU logic reprogramming, however I also read that as the car is 2020 (September 2020) it should already have the correct logic update, paired with the fact the part that is coming off is the Bosch revision B (SH9P-18641B) version already too. Naturally I only have access to the information google/AI will give me and I know this doesn't mean it's correct information. If anyone can elaborate on the actual replacement process as a whole I would really appreciate it. My understanding that it is either:

A) Replace part > DCU reprogramming > forced regen > reset learned values from old sensor > oil + filter change.
B) Replace part > forced regen > reset learned values from old sensor > oil + filter change
C) Something different entirely

The last garage I spoke to told me if the Mazda side isn't performed it can lead to the natural regen cycles not happening, subsequently a blocked DPF and possible catastrophic engine failure.

Thanks
Daniel

Hello

First time poster here - forgive me if this is a naive question.

My Mazda CX5 (Diesel Sport Nav D 4x4 Auto, 2015, just over 64k miles) has the orange triangle warning light and a message on the dash saying “DPF malfunction”. I’m away from home and I took it to an official Mazda dealership who ran the diagnostics (at great expense) and wrote “carried out MMDS check and found DTC P243C regen frequency, checked DTC store record and found DTC P2262 small turbo area malfunction, will require stripping to inspect turbo and intake system”.

I am presently over 100 miles from home on work business. I am due to drive back tonight.

What are my odds that the system puts me into limp mode half way back? I don’t really have an option of not trying to get back but I am very nervous that I am going to break down on the Motorway.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I don’t think it’s a severe engine related noise, because it only does it in gear and never while idling. It seems to pop up most when I accelerate from a stop, or if I apply sudden acceleration while moving. I realize it could be a multitude of things, but it would really help to narrow it down.

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a travel trailer to pull behind our GT-P. I've looked today at a trailer with a dry weight of 3,100lbs.

Getting some very conflicting opinions and advice about whether this is too heavy so looking for some real world experiences from others with this vehicle.

Is a 3,100lb dry weight realistically a good idea within the GT-P Ps 5,000lb capacity?

Can anyone with experience towing a similar weight trailer offer any real world feedback to help with the decision?

TIA!

Hi Protege-heads out there.
I am hunting down a misfire that keeps evading all of my best efforts over the last 6 months but It has reached, gotta deal with it proportions because now my wife hates to drive the car. I have a 1997, 323 Protege BA 1.6L. The only car I have ever owned, and although I know that sentimentality can only get me so far I hope the old girl has a few more years in her.

In the period that I have been dealing with the misfire I have tried the following.
1. Replaced the spark plugs
2. Replaced the ignition leads and packs
3. Replaced the fuel pump (because it died :()
4. Replaced the fuel filter
5. Changed oil & filter every 5,000km-10,000km
6. Had a mechanic replace the valve cover seal gasket.

As I am starting to head toward more expensive repairs I am looking for assistance on what I should look at next?
Please help me protege protectors,
Thanks in advance for your tips and tricks.

I have a 2021 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring that I purchased new. I did not purchase or pay for an extended warranty. The car has just under 36,000 miles. My excellent mechanic discovered a "very small leak" at the main seal between the engine and the transmission. There have been no dashboard warnings or trouble lights either before or after the discovery. The mechanic says I should take the car to Mazda if I have any warranty coverage left, but I checked and found that I am 4 months past the 60-month warranty, so I cannot expect any help from Mazda.

The car is based in South Florida and lives a charmed life. I have a 50/50 mix of city and highway driving, don't drive it hard or aggressively, never drive off-road, change oil and filter every 6,000 miles (usually sooner), and the car drives and behaves like it's brand new. I religiously check the oil dipstick at each gas fill-up, and I have never seen the oil level vary.

My trusty mechanic says the small oil leak issue isn't due to anything I've done. He calls it a "nuisance leak" and says my best course of action is to continue driving and maintaining the car as usual, being extra careful to check the oil level frequently. He says the leak will most likely remain very small and should not affect the car's longevity. In fact, he said the engine will likely be good for at least another 20,000 to 30,000 miles if I continue to care for it as I have over its first five years/36,000 miles.

Just wondering if anyone here has had a similar nuisance leak, when it occurred, and how it's played out over the long term.

Many thanks,
