Default Engine rebuild

This forum has been extremely helpful in the past and now I'm looking to rebuild the engine in my daughter's 1991 vert (non turbo). I live in the Houston, Texas area and I'd like to find someone close to rebuild the engine. It leaks a little oil and smokes when first started. It has about 125k miles. Is there something I can do short of a rebuild to fix the oil leak? I've already repaired the leak at the oil cooler with the help of this forum. If not, where is a reputable place to have the engine rebuilt? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Register today for free or log-in if already registered to remove this ad!

You are in luck that you would not believe. I am on the southeast side of houston and I know a very good engine rebuilder for rotary engines. If I am not mistaken, he charges 400 for the labor if you pull the engine yourself. You have to buy your own parts, but that just means that you can choose the parts that you want and no one is marking them up. I will get his contact info and tell him to be ready for you to get in touch.

I don't mind pulling the engine. I should be ready next spring. You can either give me the info or forward my info, whichever you prefer. Let me know and I'll find out what parts the builder normally replaces. Thanks!!
