Talking 2007 Mazda3 s Touring

Just bought this car and I love it to death. My question is: I have an iPod Touch and when I plug the sterio wire to the center console input jack and into the iPod then hit the Media button on the dash and/or the Mode button on the steering wheel NOTHING happens, its like there is no AUX mode to get to. There is FM, AM, CD and Sat but no AUX when you hit the buttons. PLEASE HELP. Register today for free or log-in if already registered to remove this ad!

I had an '07 3. Is there not an AUX button on the radio or is it MEDIA? I can't recall.

One possible issue- does your car have Sirius??

If so, on mine the AUX plug in the console was disabled if Sirius was installed. The dealer said they needed the AUX input on the radio head unit for the Sirius. The only way to get them BOTH to work was for the dealer to install some type of splitter. They quoted me $150 for it, my car was leased so I said no, I got more use out of the Sirius anyway.

That could be the cause.

Thanks so much for the info, I am probably going to have Mazda switch the HU back to the Aux input because I won't even use Sirius.

I also did some research and found that there is a Recall on the vehicle specifically for 07-

The No. 4 left side engine mount bolt may loosen if a sudden rapid acceleration is repeatedly performed, allowing the transmission to get out of position. Dealers will inspect and replace the No. 4 engine mount bolt with a modified one and, if necessary, replace the engine mount rubber and bracket.

Does anyone have any more info on this, maybe how common it is or how often it actually happens, should I just bring it to the dealer and have them do the Recall even if it has not happened to my car?

Thanks so much for any help.
