He's 22, from NJ and with 2 new (sports) cars in a month. I don't even want to go there Scott.

hahaha yeahh it'll definetely last longer this time. I'll be sure to be MORE careful when the weather is crappier out this time around. I can't wait to give my ford escape im borrowing from my dad back to him.

also, the insurance company paid off my whole entire loan, and gave me the sticker price of the car, so luckily i made out pretty well. I basically got back my down payment that I put down so that I'm able to use it to put towards the new car.

Glad you're OK. I'm thinking about getting an RX-8 soon, probably a new 2009. I'm 29 and haven't driven anything sportier than a Celica before so I'm not that knowledgeable about how the RX-8 will handle in certain situations/conditions. I was wondering if you or any others reading think that you may have fared better on the slippery leaves if you had Dynamic Stability Control (don't think it comes on the 2010 Sport). I'll be driving in wet conditions and in the winter -- with snow tires of course -- and I'm trying to get an idea of how helpful DSC (and possibly a limited-slip differential too) would be for driving in crappy conditions and especially snow.

I can't say whether or not the DSC would've helped more or not, only because everyone i've talked to say that driving over wet leaves is like driving over black ice, just as dangerous
