I am currently trying to purchase a car. and really wanting a Mazda 3. I want something sporty and fun. I was leaning toward the 3 S, But the 3 i doesnt seem to be a ton different in specs. I am looking between 2002-2005 year wise. Ive never really looked at Mazdas before. So really what i am asking, is what is the more bang for my buck? Mazda 3 s or 3 i? And are Mazdas pretty easily customizable?

Thank you

PS. This is a very important question. How are they in the snow. I live in the Midwest so it can be a long winter.

Get the Mazda 3s!
I have an 08 Mazda 3s (2.3) and I love it. If your looking to mod your car, then the 2.3 is more easily modded. Most parts such as intakes, turbos and etc are usually for the 2.3 liter only.
Plus, the 3s comes with better wheels, steering wheel, interior, shift knob, and more!
