Default CX9 roof rack

I recently purchased a 2008 CX9 touring model and am thinking about adding the Mazda roof rack and mud flaps.
The dealer wants $700 ($519 + !82) as compared to me buying the parts
$367 (273 + 94) and installing myself. It doesn't sound like rocket science to install, therefore I am leaning towards doing it myself.
Before I proceed I am wondering if anyone has done this and will it substantially increase wind noise?.

thanks

VERY easy to do. Mudflaps are just screws that hold them in place. Roof racks (rails) are very easy also. Without any cross bars they are absolutely quiet. There may be issues with certain cross bars if they are placed up towards the front of the car.

This forum is pretty dead. I strongly suggest the following for really useful info.

To a lesser extent this forum also.

Default rack and flaps

Thanks for the feedback.
I was thinking on getting the crossbar but only putting that on when I absolutely need it.
