The 6 was never made as a coupe AFAIK...what are you on about?

What im looking for is a couple easy engine mods that will help increas hp and gas milage. i dont want to do a whole engine rebuild. one of my "tuner" friends said that first thing to do is get an air intake for the car, but i have no idea what kind to get since this is the first time im looking into doing any mods. so i guess i'm wanting to start there.

What air intakes work best with the 6?

What engine do you have in it? Intakes are a good first engine mod, but the different engines have different intakes that work better for them.

Ideas for subtle cosmetic mods:
1. Remove door guards
2. Paint calipers with g2 or other high temp paint
3. Smoked or clear side markers. The side markers can be found here.
4. Smoked rear reflectors. The reflectors can be found here.
5. Shark fin or stubby antenna. Shark fin can be found here.

Before you start doing anything mechanically, at least know a little bit about your car. It reflects poorly on you if you don't even know what engine you have.

You can do pretty much anything to an ATX that you can do to an MTX with the exception of an upgraded clutch/flywheel, and no one offers an LSD for the Auto. With engine and suspension mods though you are in the free and clear. But you seriously don't know if it's a 4cyl or a 6?

A good guide for engine mods for the 4cyl can be found here, and here. For the V6 the best intake out there is the CPE with the MAFCi, it's just kinda pricy (though in it's defense, it does provide pretty much double the hp of the next intake down on the list). A guide for the V6 mods can be found here.
