Gidday all, I'm new to the forum and was hoping that you guys would be able to help me out, if this is the wrong place for me to put this, please tell me as I am not sure.
Ive just inherited my brothers 1987 Mazda 323 4 door sedan, and its pretty base model with the 1.5 litre 12 valve SOHC carburettor engine (I think) and it has an apparent blown head gasket and the engine likes to cut out at intersections when the engine has just come off being on load.
Anywho, me and my dad have decided to attempt our first FWD engine swap, and were told that the twincam 1600 bolts straight in, only problem is we dont know which twincam 1600 it is, because the only one I can seem to find on auctions and the such are out of the later model 323s (post 1990) and I dont know if they would have the same engine mounts and things.
So any knowledge/advice/comment whatsoever would be greatly appreciated =]
