I have this flickering dashlight which can be seen on the headlights as well. Happens when I start the car, or when I idle at a stop.
I have changed the alternator a few years ago, and the battery about 3-4 years ago.
I had the electrical circuit tested, and it tested OK, alternator is charging and the battery is holding the load.
I asked the dealer what to do, and the answer was that I might need to have the dash removed and then have some circuitry tested. They told me that the removal and reinstall of the dash is the bulk of the work, and that labor for that only could go close to 1,000 bux, at which point I lost appetite.
Any ideas what could be wrong, or what I could try?

Do you have a trailer wiring harness attached? Check this and any other harnesses visible for corosion. I had this happen and it was the trailer harness that was the cause.
