1999 protege idle problem

1999 1.8L engine approx 110,000 miles Just started to Stumble/Stall at idle Runs ok above 1500 or so. Cleaned idle/air??? control valve, had some carbon not much. coil ohm = 8.7 bench test unit, operates but does chatter, I don't know if that's normal or the piston should just clunk open/clunk closed Found cracks in air tube from air box "fixed" with duct/foil tape Idle got a little better, more stumble less stall Connect scan tool w/ Digimoto software P1170 fault, I reset and it has not returned. At idle, fuel system 1 OL-Fault. Above 1500, fuel system 1 closed loop. Decelerating, fuel system 1 OL-Drive Fuel system 2 OL-Fault at ALL rpm/mph Would like to know what F/S 2 OL-Fault Means Thanks

air hose from air box is inexpensive item that should be replaced. tape is a band-aid approach, likely more crackscausing ECM to try to compensate for all the extra air.

replace that hose tape won't do anything one day your going to have a big vaccum boost and you will have tape inside the engine, ive tried the ghetto way on my car before and every morning you when you turn your key on you can hear the car pumping air back into all the hoses cause of the leak. fuel system ol-fault means- fuel system open loop fault. http://www.nitrod.com/articles/FuelSystemTA.pdf that link will tell you everything about open and closed loop systems its to much to explain on here. you will need adobe to open it if not let me know and i will explain it.
