Default 2005 6 Break in period

I never really got an answer from the dealer, but what is the suggested break in period for the 6?

I have a 03 6 and I gave it 1000 miles. They say about 800 but if you drive hard like I do I would recommend 1000. Also use Mobil 1 full synthetic as soon as possible, it's the best.

Actually, they say exactly 800 miles, but I wouldn't recommend driving too hard even after 1000 miles. Work up to hard driving. And be sure to run the car through the full RPM range throughout break-in. Mobil 1 is a good idea too, but you may want to wait until the second oil change (assuming you do the first right after break in) to switch to a full synthetic.
