01 Mazda Tribute: Creaking in Front Driver's Side Wheel
All--
I have an '01 Tribute with about ~165K on it, just in the last ~week I noticed a creaking sound coming from the front driver's side wheel when cornering at low speeds. It's noticeable when turning the wheel left at a stop and turning the wheel to the left while at a stop. It also seems to very briefly occur going over speed bumps (I noticed it going through toll booths). I tried repeatedly bouncing the car from that wheel and didn't hear anything. Steering doesn't seem to be affected (loose or not as responsive).
Of course, I just tried again from a cold start and it didn't happen at all.
Any thoughts or ideas for things to check and look for?
TIA!
