1996 Mazda MPV won't shift out of park
1996 Mazda MPV FWD won't shift out of park. It will start. Even with override in the steering column depressed, it won't shift out of park. It wasn't parked on a hill. The brake lights work.
What fuses may be involved and what else would be wrong.
There is no noise when the brake is depressed in the steering column.
Thanks.
PS. I replaced the cigar 15amp under the dash fuse and then there is a buzzing in the steering column and the override in the steering column moves, however still it won't shift out of park. I had read somewhere that the cigarette lighter fuse also controls the shift solenoid. Can someone help. Thanks.
