5 manual trans fluid change

Default 5 manual trans fluid change

Quick question for anyone who might know. Have a 5 want to change gear oil in my manual trans.is there a drain/fill plug for this? Thanks!

Yes, it's a 24 or 26mm hex. That's a tough lil' bugger to fill though, so make sure you have a good long, preferably clearhose to do it with. And the tranny (5-sp) takes 3 qts. so you need a fairly big drain pan/bucket too.
Unless you're switching over to synthetic though, there is probably no reason to waste the $$$ and time on it. How many miles on the 5?

About 27k on the car. Synthetic is the reason for change. is that plug the drain and fill? If so will I need to pump fluid out? Thanks again!

There are two plugs, both the same size. Onedirectly on the bottom to drain and one facing forward @ about 2:30 o'clock to fill.
