Default 92model MX6 instrument issue

G'day all,

have just found out about this site and look forward to learning more about my vehicle and the experiences that everyone can provide.

I'm in the process of sorting out a '92 MX-6 2.5Lt V6, returning it back to original condition. One issue which has come to light is with my instrument cluster. The fuel gauge isn't working. On pulling the cluster out I found the shaft on the gauge was broken.

Does anyone have any idea if just the gauge is readily available through spares parts agencies, Mazda service, etc. The back of the gauge has "2B04" stencilled on it in black ink. There are also two capacitors soldered onto three posts, both of them blue in colour. One is a 1W and the other is a 2W.

Are these a generic type item? Could I source one from any Mazda instrument cluster?

Appreciate any advice you guys could offer.
