Default Alarm issues

Hello

I have a 55 plate mazda mx 5 1.8 icon. Yesterday I was locked out of the car as my battery in the key fob had died so I opened it with the key and the alarm started going off. Even turning the car wouldn't stop it. I've since had the battery changed in the key fob which is still not working so my question is has anybody been able to disable the alarm and how they did it. Unfortunately I don't have a manual either. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

For anybody outside the UK "55 plate" means absolutely nothing. What year is it? Genuine Mazda alarm or aftermarket?

Visiting Autofthings to get the answer if you concern. Even turning the car wouldn't stop it.
