Default connecting rear speakers

i have a 1986 mazda 323 hatch and im upgrading the sound system. now i found the rear speaker holes just behind the rear seats, where the seat belt is, and i saw proper stock speaker connections in there, all wired up. now i have been searching all around the car and i cant find where they go too, ive taken apart half the dash, but the only speaker wires up front where the stereo is are the front ones.

can anybody help me out quickly?

cheers

Default RE: connecting rear speakers

If you still have the Mazda OEM stereo in the car, there should be 3 separate connectors behind the stereo, once it is pulled out of the dash. The 1 connector on the left side should have 4 wires, pos/ neg for the front speakers, the center with the power/ ground/ memory, and there should be 1 additional connector somewhere on the right side, with 4 additional wires for the pos/ neg rear speakers, as they were pre-wired for the rear speakers. It may be near the antena wire.
Hope that helps?
Cheers, Jake.
