Contacts delete everytime car is turned off
Hello, I hope this general tech area is the right place for this topic.
I have a 2014 CX9, and what's driving me nuts is: The contacts get deleted from the car's memory every time I turn the engine off. I took it in, sales reps looked at it, agreed that it was odd. And, it takes some time to download each time and while it's downloading, no other Bluetooth activities are available. I wouldn't mind it so much if it had to download each time if it didn't take so long. The other vehicles I have tested, the download takes under 10 seconds and I can move on with my day...
Had it into the service department, there is some sort of service bulletin about it but from the adviser told me, the service tech did not think installing a new Bluetooth module would change anything.
Iphone 5s and now 6s, both bring the same results from the Bluetooth system.
I am getting used to the slow reaction time of the radio on/off switch, the rear hatch button... (I've driven many other brands of cars with similar features, the CX9 is just slow to respond when tapping the buttons, have to hit them again and make sure I keep them pressed so the on board "brain" can catch up, again, compared to other cars I drive for my clients like Buick, Toyota...) It just seems like a really outdated control system/computer is built into this car. That combined with the wiggly windows when open partially, a piece came off the top of the car going through the car wash and 16.5 mpg, well, I am still looking for some redeeming characteristics from this car. I feel like it's not going to last too long.
Sorry to be long winded here, thanks for reading and if you have any thoughts, thanks for sharing!
