85 gsl is the model to own from that generation. it came with the 13b 4 port motor which was great. also had 4 wheel disc brakes and an lsd. all of those things can be transplanted into other years and models but that one had it standard. look for rust, oil leaks, smoking exhaust, smoke from the front or rear covers of the motor, make sure that the shifter isn't sloppy, and look it over for wiring issues. all of these things are rotary critical. otherwise, its just like buying any other car.
the rotary engine can be finicky, but can be very solid. read posts 1 and 2 in this thread for more in depth information.

that looks like a fuel injected 13b to me. the hood looks like its a cross between the fc turbo hood and the stock hood. it looks pretty good on the car. it looks like it has had an a/c and/or power steering delete. the pics look like the motor is running, but the main pulley is still really stable. good sign that the motor mounts are still intact.
all in all, I would say its a nice car. I would look it over mechanically and make sure, but I think that you have a pretty good deal here.
