Default Gauges flicker, car won't start

This morning I tried to auto-start the car but when I got to my parking lot, it had not started. Unlocked the car and tried to start it with the key in the ignition... car sounded like it wanted to start but then shut off, and the alarm system proceeded to go off.

Tried it again when I got back from class.. with the remote start, the car tries but won't start and the alarm goes off; with the key in the ignition the gauges flicker and click but the car doesn't start.

Lights were not left on. Radio and other electrics are working.

Can't get the car to the dealership until the snow stops. Any idea what is going on in my car?

What is your car? How old is your battery? Have you tried jump starting? Sounds to me like you need a new battery or alternator. Something is causing your car to not have enough power to start properly.
