Ghost tracks on USB connected device
I have a 2017 CX-5. I connect an Apple iPad to it through one of the USB ports to play music tracks and podcasts.
I recently restored the iPad and now the Mazda infotainment system displays "ghost" tracks and "ghost" podcasts that used to be on the iPad but are no longer there. It sees new tracks that do exist as well. I've seen this behavior with flash drives, too. It's as though the car has some internal storage that keeps an index of tracks on different devices.
Is there some way to clear this bad information from memory? I've tried holding the MUSIC + NAV + MUTE buttons to reset but that didn't help.
Thanks.
