Default GPS Safety Mode - Can it be disabled?

Is it possible to disable safety mode on the built-in Tom Tom navigation system in my 2015 CX-5? I know it's not safe to be poking at the GPS while driving, but it should be possible for a passenger to program it while another person is driving. Since I can't do this, I keep my Garmin GPS in the car and use it instead of the built-in system so I can enter addresses while the vehicle is moving. The Tom Tom UI is very poor compared to my Garmin to begin with, so not being able to override safety mode is another strike against it.

I asked my dealer if they could disable it and they said no; I suspect they don't want the liability.

safety 1st, No it can't be disabled.

Its there to stop stupid people from suing Mazda after they crash their car and hurt themselves because they were too dumb to concentrate on their own driving.
