Hold light flashing

Hold light flashing
'94 Mazda 929 started running pretty bad on the way home.
For starters I unplugged the TPS (throttle position sensor).
Car ran like a top so I ordered a new TPS and put it on.
After installation the hold light flashes and the engine check
light is on car runs great though. On a very short test ride the
car is not shifting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Roy
Addition 1 - I have a code 12 (jump between TAT and GND)
Addition 2-
Okay, went to BabyHuey post and I adjusted TSP (was not right) now HOLD light is off, but now engine is running ruff. Before TSP adjustment it was running smooth. Have engine light on so will try and find code for that.
Addition 3- Fault code 18 (Throttle Sensor Narrow Range - Fixed at full-open) No idea about solution. Any help with this one would be appreciated. Roy
Well, fault code 18 was my fault - did not have TSP on correctly. Took off and reinstalled correctly. NO engine or HOLD lights on or flashing. Car is running like new...
