we've seen this problem a couple of times in my auto class....try seeing if its just the light bulb holder thing.....try switching the two sides and if the oter side doesnt work you found your problem....do you get what im saying??
as for the oil, i dunno, my car's brand new, but i would have to say maybe use high mileage oil?

I dont really understand what you are talking about when you say .....try switching the two sides and if the oter side doesnt work you found your problem...., in my tail lights, there are some black plastic sort of lock look alike things, i've tried to pull those out because from the looks of it, it seems to me that is whats holding the tail lights in place of some screws. thanx for trying to help though

RE: just a few questions
On my car there is an access panel inside the trunk to get to the bulbs. I'm not sure how yours is put together though.
As for the oil, it depends where you live and the climate. I live in south Texas and I run 20W 50 year round with no problems.
