Default Mazda 2003 coils and spark plugs

We just got news that one of our coils and it's spark plug is bad. We were considering on changing the rest of our spark plugs as well, but after readingabout iton the forum, we were wondering if we should just wait until another coil goes bad? We don't want a coil going bad to ruin another spark plug. Suggestions on the best thing to do?

Default RE: Mazda 2003 coils and spark plugs

The coils going bad doesn't do anything to the plugs themselves, they just stop transmitting the spark signal to the plug.

I would change all of the plugs and see if your problem still exists (hold off on replacing the coil). If your car still mis-fires/runs rough, then change the offending coil and re-evaluate. (You can borrow a code reader from most auto parts stores to figure out which cylinder is the issue.)
