Hey. Thanks for the help!!! I figured out the way to get rid of it all by myself.... Rip the bastard out, and install a new unit

The unit I had in the car was very different!!!! It didn't have an AM/FM button. It had BAND.
And it also had a NEWS button!!!!! My local Mazda dealer said in his 30 years of working for Mazda as a mechanic, he had never seen an original Mazda unit with a NEWS button!!!!!

Note that the button AUTO-M doesn't exist in this model... (is it replaced for AST-ML?)

Can somebody help me? Thanks in advance.

Default '96 Protege radio code?

I just recently had my battery die in my 1996 Protege LX. The stock radio has been working fine until then (with the exception of the volume control). I have replaced the battery and checked the 15A fuse for the radio and everything looks fine, but the radio won't even turn on. I can't find a code reference in the manual. Can anyone help? Your advice is much appreciated.

Default Radio Unlock Code

Hi,

I have a Mazda 3 2006 that has locked me out with the "ERR" message flashing, I have tried 4989, 3511, 1414, 0000 and several other random numbers but nothing seems to work.

Does any one know the unlock code for this model please?

Default 02 MPV code

Thanks everyone, the code for the 02 MPV (UK) is 1414. Was very miserable and this cheered me up no end. Now can anyone find an intercooler for an MPV for less than an arm and a leg?

I was thinking he had a Turbo-Diesel MPV; maybe this is a bad assumption but his being in the UK and all...

Default Help

Hello Everybody,

i have a Mazda Premacy 1999 with a casette radio (see Attachment). After a battery change the radio wants to have the radio code but I typed it in three times wrong. Now the display shows Err. Who can help me to find out a key comination to unlock the radio. All key combinations in this thread doesn't work. Some other members in this discussion have the same problem.
I would be very happy if somebody can help me, because i don't want to pay money for unlocking this old radio.

Thanks for your help,
kaitschy

Virgin and Shipo, yes indeed, it's a 2 ltr Turbo diesel. The intercooler costs around £800 from Mazda, that's probably around $1300. As not many people over here in England bought an MPV it's hard to get spares from breakers either hence the plea!!
