Hi! Can anyone help for my proplem? I have Mazda 6 2006 Sportwagon. I got almost
same radio like in the picture. Proplem is this: Err keeps flashing. I follow this combination 6, AM, Auto M, Seek ^ (up). Some how by pressing these combinations simultaneously and different order, i got 4 digits on the screen. i put code 2 times and it didn't work. Now i'd like to try other codes, but REAL PROPLEM is that i cant get the 4 digits on the screen anymore. It's just keep flashing err. I have pressed different combinations for few million times now and i just cant insert the code anymore? i wonder, what is the correct combination in this radio? I have taken battery off one time, but it didn't help.
Please help!

Thanks guys - just used this on my 2006 Mazda2 - code 4989 worked. The starter motor failed and battery disconnected to replace it, anti-theft system activated.
not impressed with Mazda support, I contacted Mazda who told me to contact local dealer, first one said I should contact Mazda.....! second dealership told me that it could be done for £15 but I needed to drive to another dealership 25 miles away because they have the "special electronic tools". Raises the question as to how they carry out diagnostics if they don't have the right diagnostic system.
Many thanks for saving me time, petrol, money and stress.

Well, for one thing it would help to know what car you have? Honda? Audi? Ferrari?
J/k, but I do think you forgot to let us in on the secret.
Also, this thread has many codes for various *Mazda's* in it, and for various years as well. You may just have to do some detective work and search through it to find the right combination for your vehicle.

Response to Virgin 1
Hi Virgin 1,
Thanks for getting back.
In answer to your question as to what car I have. the clue is in the title of my request; Mazda 2. 54 plate. A bit more information is 1.4 turbo diesel. Capella.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
